Bike Ride

Andrew can now ride his tricycle all by himself! He has been riding it for awhile, but with assistance from us. He now no longer needs us to help push him. He rode all the way down the street to the park on Monday and back. Such a big boy! Can't believe that he's almost 3.

A New Adventure

As soon as I found out I was having a girl I loved looking at all of the baby girl accessories. I loved all the little headbands and hair clips but found that the stores didn't have a lot to offer, so I decided to start making my own. Lots of people ask me about them and Nate has been telling me for months that I need to start selling them....so, I started my hair accessories company, Bébé Boutique. I made a few and put them on etsy. www.etsy.com/shop/bebeboutique. Hopefully I'll sell a few! I love doing it and hopefully other people will find that they are unique and love them too! Giggles

Last night Ava was in a very giggly mood. She laughed every time I kissed her. It was so cute. She has been laughing for awhile now, but laughs more and more every day. She loves to smile but has really started smiling more every time she sees me...it's just too cute!

Wedding Weekend

This weekend was Thomas & Tiffany's wedding (my sister-in-law & now brother-in-law). Saturday night we had a dinner at the Bailey's house along with all of the wedding party and out of town guests. Andrew had so much fun at Pama & Papa's house and loved playing with his cousins Elizabeth, Brody & Cade.

Sunday was the wedding in Camas, Wa at the Fairgate Inn. The place was absolutely beautiful! Ava and I spent the afternoon getting ready with the girls at the Bailey's house. Nate met us at the wedding location so Andrew could get a little bit of a nap (unfortunately he didn't take a good nap that day). I quickly got all of us ready and he looked absolutely adorable in his tux and Ava was the cutest thing in her little dress (it matched the flower girl dress). Andrew and his cousin Elizabeth ran around the place while we waited for pictures. They completely feed off each other...when one screams, the other screams. Oh my, it took a lot of work from us moms (thanks Melissa for all your help) for us to somewhat control these kids. They were just so excited to spend the day together! When the wedding started Andrew was supposed to carry the rings down the aisle which were attached to some books. He, of course, did not want to carry the books. He wanted to carry the flowers like Elizabeth, the flower girl. This was quite the battle. Luckily Papa was able to convince him to carry the books (thank you Bud!) and he did a great job walking down the aisle and standing next to me. He held my hand and Elizabeth's for about half of the ceremony until he decided to go sit with Daddy. After the wedding he ran around the place and danced with all of the kids. He had so much fun and did not want to leave. It was getting late (probably 8:30...past his bedtime!) so my parents took him back to their house for a sleepover. He had a rough time sleeping - poor thing has a really hard time being separated from us lately.

Ava did a great job the whole day. She really is a sweet baby and didn't fuss all day. I think that's because she was being held all day....she loves being held :)

Nate did a reading during the wedding and said some really sweet things about his sister.

Tiffany looked beautiful. I was so honored to be a part of their wedding and Nathan and I are excited to welcome Thomas into the family. Thank you Thomas and Tiffany for letting us be apart of your wedding day. We wish you a lifetime of happiness....we love you!

Weekend Update

We had such a fun weekend and the weather was amazing! We kicked it off with a BBQ at our friends house, the Leonards. They have a little boy who is only a few months younger than Andrew and the boys have so much fun together. They ran around the yard the whole night and entertained themselves while the adults had a great time catching up!

Saturday morning we headed to the little water park in Wilsonville. We hadn't gone yet this year and Andrew was so excited to be there. It was extra special since Daddy was there with us too. Ava hung out with me in the baby bjorn while Andrew ran around with Daddy. Such a fun family morning.

7.24.10- Ava 10 weeks & 1 day

That afternoon Nate and I attended a wedding at our church. We decided to take advantage of having a babysitter and went to dinner after the wedding. It was a beautiful night so we went to Oswego Boathouse and sat on the floating deck. I've decided that this is one of my happy places. Fine dinning and a lake...2 of my favorite things! We had such a nice evening just the 2 of us.

The next morning we skipped church and headed to the river for some more family time. Gotta love summer time!

Andrew update

Only a month and a half until Andrew turns 3. I can't believe he is going to be 3 already. He starts school in September and he is very excited. He is a sweet little boy and LOVES his baby sister. He always wants to know where she is and if she is crying he tells me or tries to talk to her and give her her pacifier. He is constantly giving her kisses and wanting to hold her or sing to her. He is constantly taking her pacifier out (which completely annoys her) and says, "you wanna talk? oh, you wanna talk." It's just the cutest thing. He still loves his pacifier but is only allowed to have it in bed and in the car. We are hoping to get rid of it at age 3. We'll see how that goes. He seems to remember everything we say these days and will repeat things we've said days after we've said them. He now knows everyones names (mine & Nate's included) and now calls his pama's and papa's Twyla Pama, Janet Pama, Buddy Papa (which is cute because his name is Bud) and Dabid (David) Papa.

Funny things he says: moder (t.v. remote), winnie & burn (Phineas & Ferb, a cartoon on Disney, his new obsession), it's a conspiracy man (from the Cars movie), he loves to sing Life is a Dream from Cars while he plays with his cars. When I get him after his nap or in the morning he always tells me that he lubs (loves) me and missed me. "I lub you mommy, I missed you so much!" When I put him to bed at night or at nap time he usually doesn't want me to leave him. He says, "mommy I need you, I lub you so much!" He gives me lots of hugs and kisses and keeps telling me that he needs me. It just melts my heart and it makes it really hard for me to leave him.

Andrew loves to play soccer in the back yard. He always asks us to play. We line up 2 balls and he says, "on your market, get set, go!" Then we kick the balls to the other side of the yard. He always says, "I'm the winner!" Too cute!

I know there are a million other new things that he does and says, but they are not coming to mind right now. I will add them as I think of them :)

2 months

Last Wednesday Ava turned 2 months old. These last two months have been crazy busy adjusting to life with 2, but I wouldn't change it for the world. Ava is the cutest little thing. She loves mommy and is a total mommy's girl. When she cries, she only wants me. She loves to be held all the time and cuddled. She loves watching Andrew and is very entertained by him. He loves to sing to her and talk to her and she just smiles and coo's back at him. It's adorable. She loves her glow worm and especially loves when it plays the song Cannon in D. It's really funny how she reacts to that song. She knows our voices and turns her head when she hears us talk to her. She started sleeping through the night at 7.5 weeks and slept through the night for about a week. She would sometimes wake up because she had gas, but usually she slept pretty good at night (11ish till about 6 or 7am). She still does pretty well but occasionally wakes up to eat in the night. She had her 2 month doctor appointment yesterday and got 2 shots (Hib & Dtap) and the oral Rotavirus. She was quite the drama queen and cried a ton. I felt so bad for her. She has been pretty needy today and wanted me to hold her most of the day. Poor thing.
