Pumpkin Patch

Last week we got to go to the pumpkin patch twice!  I love the pumpkin patch and am hoping to go as often as possible this fall.  The weather has been amazing and I'm hoping it stays that way.  Last Thursday we headed to Lee Farms with my mom.  Unfortunately they didn't have any of the rides going, but we still had a blast looking at all of the animals.

 The kids spent probably 45 minutes with the calves.  The loved the "baby cows" and could have stayed there even longer.  They petted them and tried to feed them hay.  

 Andrew went up to this sign several times to check his height.

 Ava is so reluctant to go down any slide, so Andrew tried to help her out.  They both thought it was so funny!

 I tried to get a picture of them together in the pumpkins...they were not interested in looking at the camera and smiling.

After running around the farm, we headed into the barn to have some pumpkin donuts.  They are amazing!

On Saturday we headed back to the farm with Daddy!  It was such a fun morning and all of the activities were open.

 We had to show Daddy all of the animals.

 And then the kids had a blast in the bouncy house.

 Ava went on her first pony ride and loved it.  Andrew has still not gone on a pony rode.

 We had fun on the hay ride.

 Andrew had a blast on the bounce pillow while Ava and I went on a little ride around the farm.

Such a fun few days at the pumpkin patch.  Can't wait to go again!

10.4 & 6. 2012

Family Pictures

We had our family pictures and Andrew's 5 year pictures last Monday.  Ava was a total pill and did not want to take any pictures or smile for any pictures.  So when I saw the pictures, I was shocked!  They turned out so good, especially for how the photo shoot went.  I love so many of them, it will be hard to choose, but these are some that I love and some that show just how the night went.

Octoberfest

Soccer stud

Andrew is loving soccer and is really doing great.  He is by far the best on his team and I don't just say that because he's my son....he pretty much makes all of the goals.  Last Saturday he got the hustle award.  He was so excited and so proud of himself.

9.29.2012- 5 years old

A few weeks ago they had team pictures.  Andrew loves that Daddy is the coach.  Last week on the way to soccer he told me that he really likes it when I cheer for him.  He told me that when he doesn't make a goal it makes him feel better to hear me cheering and asked if I could cheer louder.  Such a cute boy!

Ava has fun at the games too and loves to cheer for Andrew.  Her favorite part is probably playing on the playground after the game.

9.22 & 29.2012

Ava update- 2 years

I finally got Ava in for her 2 year check up!  Yea, I know, 4 months late!

We started out the morning with a little coffee date at our local coffee shop, then headed to ballet before going to the doctor.

She was a bit shy when the doctor came in but she did really good.

Her stats:

weight- 28 lbs (50%)

height- 34 3/4 in (45%)

head- 47 3/4 cm (44%)

The doctor seemed very please that Ava's weight had gone up so much since the last time she was in.  She had two shots (flu, & Hep B) and cried a ton after the shots...poor thing.  Some hugs from mommy, some stickers and knowing that she got to go see Andrew seemed to help.  She is growing up so fast and has definitely started in on the terrible twos, but we still adore her!

We have also started back up at Gymboree after taking the summer off and she absolutely loves it.  When I told her that we were going she started jumping up and down saying, "I so excited, I so excited!"  

She gets to play with her friend Charleigh at Gymboree too!
