Thanksgiving

Thankgiving this year was different than most.  We spent the day playing in the pool.  It was probably 88 degrees that day...much different than our normal thankgiving at home.  We spent the evening eating a wonderful dinner, painting with the kids, making turkey's out of finger paint and playing scattegories. Such a fun day!

Palm Springs

The Monday before Thanksgiving we hopped on a plane and headed to Palm Springs.

The weather was perfect (in the 80s) the whole time and we had a blast as a family.  

 

Ava even got braver and started jumping in the pool without holding onto anyone's hands!

 

Our days consisted of lounging by the pool, squirt gun fights, playing games, tea parties, ninja turtles, book reading (I even read a whole book!) and lots of food.  Nate and I even got a few dates during the week.

 Thomas and Tiffany arrived a few days after us.  This was our first trip with the whole family.  Andrew loved having Uncle Thomas & Aunt Tiffany around, but Ava wasn't too sure about it.  She finally warmed up to Tiff but was still hesitant about Thomas.  She is so shy around anyone other than us and her grandparents.

 Ava loves these animals and plays with them most of time while she's in the pool.

I'm back!

I'm back after a long break from blogging.  With being in Palm Spring for Thanksgiving, coming back to a sick dog who had to have surgery, a Bebe Boutique Christmas party and prepping for Christmas, I just didn't have time to blog.  But now I have a bit of downtime so it's time for lots of updates from the past month!  Get ready for a lot of blog entries before the new year!

1st Pedicure

On Friday I took Ava to her first pedicure.  My mom came along too and we made it a little girls morning.  After I dropped Andrew off at school Ava and I met my mom for Starbucks before heading to our pedicures.

She was pretty quiet and shy but you could tell she was really excited.

She sat quietly and occasionally gave me a smile.  I asked her if she liked and she said yea.

 

 We decided to go ahead and get her nails painted too.

 She sat so still and was so good.

 As soon as we got done she asked if she could do it again.  Love my girl time with her!

11.16.2012- Ava 2 1/2 years old

Leyton's 1!

My sweet little niece, Leyton, turned 1 last Saturday.  I can't believe she's already one!  We drove down for her party on Saturday morning and spent the day at her party and with my family.

 My sister did a great job decorating for the party.
