Family

The week before we left for Palm Springs was pretty busy. My grandparents & uncle were in town for one day and we got a chance to have dinner with them. Andrew had tons of fun playing with my uncle and I think he wore him out! Ava was a little fussy that night, but after she warmed up to the crowd she relly enjoyed laughing with my grandpa.

That Friday (the day before we left) was my mom's birthday. We had coffee in the morning with her and that afternoon we went and got pedicures together which was tons of fun. That evening we had dinner out and then they came over for cake & ice cream. Andrew loves birthday's and was so excited that we were having a birthday party at our house. Anything with a cake and presents is a party to him.

I ♥ them

Ava is into everything these days. She loves to stand up, crawl, make a mess of the house, get into Andrew's toys and chew on everything. She doesn't like being confined to anything and really loves exploring.

Before we went on our trip we had a few sunny days. Andrew loved getting a chance to go outside and play for a bit. He even helped day mow the lawn. He dug in the dirt, played in his dirt pit and had a little picnic at his table.

Ava's newest tricks

As promised (awhile ago) here is a few videos of Ava.

4.2.2011- Ava 10.5 months old

Since she turned 10 months (she is now 11 months) she has been doing new things almost every day. Her first "trick" was waving. She especially loved to wave at Andrew. Then she moved on to "so big" which she would do occasionally and now she does "patty cake"- her very favorite! We can hardly get her to do anything but patty cake. She claps all the time and is so cute about it. She will clap in the middle of nursing or whenever she is very happy about something.

The kids + Sophie

Andrew has been wanting to cuddle with Sophie (our dog) a lot these days. He gets the blanket, puts it on his lap and Sophie sits with him for awhile. Andrew LOVES it! Ava loves Sophie too. She thinks she is so funny and loves to try and pet her and get kisses from her. I captured a few pictures of all of them cuddling the other day.

Learning....

Yesterday Ava learned how to do "so big" and clap. She seems to really be learning a lot this month...more to come on these things later.

Etsy

Today I made my first "real" sale on etsy! I'm so excited! I've sold a lot to friends and family, but haven't had a sale on etsy to someone that I don't know. This is the item I sold....

Crawling

Ava has been army crawling for a few weeks now. Yesterday she actually got on her hands and knees and started crawling. She still army crawls sometimes, but she now knows how to crawl. It's fitting that she would crawl to her blanket since she's such a blanket girl. So far she hasn't made it past the family room, and I'm hoping she doesn't for awhile!
