10 Year Anniversary

We headed to Burbank early on Monday morning and arrived by 9am.
We took a couple hours drive north to Santa Barbara to hang out for awhile.
We shopped and had lunch before heading to Ojai.
When we arrived they had champagne & chocolate covered strawberries waiting for us in our room!
It was pretty cool that day so we just wandered around the grounds and tried to familiarize ourselves with the property.  It was huge!
That night we had dinner at one of the hotel restaurants...it was amazing and one of our best meals of the trip!
The next morning we headed to a yoga class before spending the day at the pool.
It was so nice to relax at the adult pool and actually get to lay by the pool and read.
That night we headed into town for dinner at The Ranch House.  Such a unique restaurant set in a beautiful garden.  The food wasn't amazing, but the atmosphere made up for it!
The next morning (Wednesday) we decided to walk into town from our hotel to the local coffee shop.  It's about a 2 1/2 mile walk each way.

We both got a bit burned the day before even though we put on a ton of sunscreen so we spent the day away from the pool.  After our long walk, we got ready for the day and then had a picnic in the gardens.  It was the most amazing picnic!
Nate even wrote me the sweetest love letter.  Such a romantic guy!  I cried reading it, it was so sweet.
After our picnic we went to the marketing offices to say hi (they are Nate's clients).  They told us that they would take us on a tour of the properties mansion, so off we went in a golf cart around the property.  The mansion was where they filmed the last Bachelorette (Desirae's season).
It was pretty amazing!
This is the master bathroom which was absolutely beautiful!
The outdoors- it even had it's own outdoor pizza oven.
After our tour we headed back into Ojai to do some shopping before heading to Ventura to see the beach.
A cute old fashioned candy shop in downtown Ojai.
It was about 30 degrees cooler at the beach, so we didn't stay long before heading down the road to the theater to watch Superman.
The next day we spent the day at the pool, mainly in the shade.  It was the perfect relaxing day.
That night we stayed at the hotel, ate dinner, walked around the beautiful gardens and listened to the live music....a perfect vacation day.
We saw lots of these little bunnies all over the property.
This resort is absolutely stunning with tons of incredible views!
The next day (Friday) was our actual 10 year anniversary.  We spent the day by the pool and had dinner at the nicest restaurant in town which happened to be at the resort.  We had a wonderful day and exchanged gifts that night before dinner.
Our beautiful view at dinner.
Cheers to 10 years with my best friend and many more years to come!

Our last morning before heading home to see our kids!

Ava got to start swimming lessons (Andrew is continuing as well) and she loves it!  It's her first time doing lessons and she's doing great!
Andrew got to start karate and he LOVES it!  He goes a few times a week and I think it's the high light of his week.
We've been spending some of our Saturday's at our local farmer's market.

Father's Day

 Father's Day this year...
Daddy was a bit under the weather so he slept in and then we headed to his parents for lunch and nap time and then over to my parents for dinner.  A mellow Father's Day celebrating a wonderful Daddy!

My little Ballerina

Dress rehearsal day....the girls were pretty mesmerized watching all of the other dancers.
After rehearsal we took the girls to this cute little cupcake shops.  They were so cute sitting at their own table...who knows what they were talking about!
On the day of the recital she was a bit nervous.  I had to drop her off in a room with all of the other dancers and I think it overwhelmed her.  She didn't recognize anyone accept for a few of her friends.  She clung to me until her teacher, Miss Rachelle, took her and then she was totally fine!
The recital started and they were the 4th performance.  It was the cutest thing ever and I smiled and cried (yea, I know...crazy!) through their whole dance.  I was so proud of her.  They danced to a french song which, for me, was icing on the cake!
(The pictures are a bit blurry, but we weren't allowed to have a flash so these were the best I could get.)

Daddy brought her a beautiful bouquet of flowers and she was so excited.
She was tired of taking pictures and wasn't too excited about taking one with mommy & daddy.
Both sets of grandparents were there and Leyton got to come too!
After the recital we headed to Jem 100 for lunch and milkshakes.
