Potty training

Yesterday we started hardcore potty training.  Last week we did underwear only in the evenings when we were home and she did okay for a few nights and then would just hold it from nap time to bedtime.  It was a bit frustrating so I wasn't sure how this week would go.
Monday went pretty good.  With the help of Nate and my parents, I was able to have just Ava all day while Andrew was at school and at my parents.  It was nice to just focus on her since we spent most of the morning in the bathroom.  She did have a few accidents but some successes as well. Monday night was chaos with the boys back home.  There was another accident but a few more successes.  All in all a great first day of potty training.
Today was great!  I was really worried that it wouldn't go well since one, Andrew was home which is a distraction and two, we had to leave the house for Andrew's swimming lesson.  Ava did great this morning with no accidents.  I put a pull up on her just to be safe and she didn't go in it the whole hour and a half that we were gone.  I was so proud of her!  Tonight she actually pooped in the potty!  She had no accidents and told me several times when she had to go potty.  Hoping that the rest of the week goes this smoothly.
She was not happy that I was taking a picture of her...she just wanted me to read to her.

Playing in the yard

I've been trying to play with my camera a bit to get out of shooting only in auto.  I took a class awhile ago and learned a few things, but really haven't played around with it much except for the first few weeks after the class.  I honestly find it a bit frustrating because sometimes I will miss a great shot.  So last week, when we were having beautiful weather, I got out my camera and took some pictures of the kids in the backyard.  I just love our trees this time of year.
See what I mean by missing a great shot!  Love her expression, bummed it's blurred.

And this was taken with my phone...for instagram of course!

Another pumpkin patch!

We are loving the pumpkin patch!  Today Pama was back in town so she got to come with us.  We ventured to Bauman Farms about 30 minutes south of us and had a blast despite the cooler weather.  The place is huge and has tons of things to do.  We were there for about 2 hours and didn't even get to do all of the activities.
He did not want his picture taken at all today.
The kids loved all of the animals.
This picture is blurry, but I had to add it....my mother in law is so much fun!  She went down all the slides and crawled through the hay maze.
This hay maze was crazy.  Andrew loved it and was able to find his way out.  Twyla and I took Ava through it and had to crawl over the hay to escape.  It was crazy and Ava was crying for Andrew most of the time.
 I love her face!
She cried a lot today.  I think she was tired and she had a runny nose and took a hard fall...poor girl.
Checking out all the pumpkins with Pama.

Such a fun day on the farm!

Field Trip

Today we went on a field trip to the pumpkin patch with Andrew's class.  It was a beautiful fall day and we both had a great time.
Andrew had fun trying to figure out the hay maze.
Baggenstos has a great playground that all of the kids loved.
We had fun on the hayride.
 And picked out our pumpkins.
These two boys were inseparable and not interested in taking any pictures.
The moms and the boys. (Andrew's friend Cole and his mom Kelly)
After the hayride, we went to find out about potatoes.  All of the kids did a great job listening.
Such a fun morning with my boy!

Pumpkin Patch

Last week we got to go to the pumpkin patch twice!  I love the pumpkin patch and am hoping to go as often as possible this fall.  The weather has been amazing and I'm hoping it stays that way.  Last Thursday we headed to Lee Farms with my mom.  Unfortunately they didn't have any of the rides going, but we still had a blast looking at all of the animals.
The kids spent probably 45 minutes with the calves.  The loved the "baby cows" and could have stayed there even longer.  They petted them and tried to feed them hay.
Andrew went up to this sign several times to check his height.
Ava is so reluctant to go down any slide, so Andrew tried to help her out.  They both thought it was so funny!
I tried to get a picture of them together in the pumpkins...they were not interested in looking at the camera and smiling.
Checking out all the pumpkins....Ava wanted to pick up every pumpkin.
After running around the farm, we headed into the barn to have some pumpkin donuts.  They are amazing!

On Saturday we headed back to the farm with Daddy!  It was such a fun morning and all of the activities were open.
We had to show Daddy all of the animals.
And then the kids had a blast in the bouncy house.
Ava went on her first pony ride and loved it.  Andrew has still not gone on a pony rode.
We had fun on the hay ride.
Trying to capture a few pictures of the kids....they were not interested.
She is so sassy and full of spunk!
Andrew had a blast on the bounce pillow while Ava and I went on a little ride around the farm.
Such a fun few days at the pumpkin patch.  Can't wait to go again!
