Hoop it up!

Today was Andrew's hoop-a-thon at school. It is pretty funny watching 3 & 4 yr olds try to shoot hoops. They had the little basketball hoops for them so they were pretty much just placing the ball into the hoop. Andrew was one of the first to shoot and they had 10 minutes to shoot as many baskets as they could. I think he shot over 30, but will find out the official results next week. He was really into it and loved that Daddy was there helping him out. After his turn was over he still wanted to shoot hoops, but we had him help the other kids by giving them the ball. He was a pretty good sport. All of the kids looked adorable in their oversized t-shirts and were pretty worn out afterward.

Popcorn & Video Games

Well, it's already started....Andrew is already playing video games and Daddy says that he is pretty good at it! He loves playing all of the racing games on Mario Cart and bonus, the controller is a steering wheel. Funny thing is, Daddy wants to play too. They are two peas in a pod!

As many of you know, my husband loves popcorn! Andrew, on the other hand, has never really liked it or wanted to try it. He's a picky eater. The other night Nate decided to pop some popcorn for a snack. He asked Andrew if he wanted any and Andrew said yes. So the sat on the couch together eating popcorn. It was pretty cute. Andrew kept saying the he loved it and that it was delicious. He's a funny little kid.

p.s. Don't worry that my son is never wearing pants or any clothes really...he's going through a phase right now where he doesn't like the feel of clothes. Somedays it's a battle to get him dressed to go anywhere!

Sitting up!

Ava can now sit up on her own! On Saturday night (10.23) we were at a friends house for dinner and I sat her on the floor for a bit to play. She sat all by herself for a long time before she lost her balance. I've been working on sitting with her for awhile but she would do it for a second and then lose her balance, but she did it on Saturday for a long time. I was so proud of her and she was smiling from ear to ear! I didn't have my camera to capture the moment but I took some of her the following day. She has the boppy behind her incase she fell back, but she is sitting up all by herself :) Don't worry that she is not wearing any clothes...the poor thing spits up and drools so much that she has a rash so I took her clothes off to try and help her rash.

Air & Space Museum

On Saturday we decided to take the kids to the Air & Space Museum. We thought Andrew would really enjoy it since he loves airplanes. Total dud! The place was super expensive, you couldn't even get in any planes which really bothered Andrew, and there was very little things for kids to do. There was one tiny area that had kids interaction toys which he liked, especially the video game. It really was just a museum....a place to look at the outside of airplanes and lots of history. I think that Andrew will enjoy it in about 5+ years. We did get some cute pics though :)

This is the video game that Andrew wanted to play the whole time we were there.

He was very happy once he got his helicopter. He loves it and plays with it everyday. Notice the red wrist band....he is still wearing it. He loves it and when we try to take it off he gets mad!

cute pics :)

I really love this time of year...the leaves changing, the cooler weather, getting to wear sweaters, cozy nights at home, the holidays quickly approaching. I don't like the rain, but the last week has been beautiful. Unfortunately the rain is now here and will probably stay for several months! Before the rain came I got to take my annual picture in the backyard with our "fall" tree. This tree is beautiful every year! I didn't get to take a picture of Andrew in front of it (he didn't want his picture taken) but I did take one of Ava & Daddy and they look so cute :)

Andrew & Ava are pretty smitten with one another. After his nap time he usually wants to hold Ava & cuddle her. She thinks it's pretty funny and they laugh at each other a lot. It really is the cutest thing :)

Pumpkin Patch field trip

Today we went to another pumpkin patch. I think that is 4 for us this year, definitely a record. I love it though, so fun! This time we went back to Lee Farms with Andrew's school. We were supposed to take the school bus, but that didn't work out since the key was missing, so we all drove separately. Daddy met us there which was a real treat! They had a guided tour for Andrew's class. We saw puppies, bunnies, baby cows, baby chicks, chickens, pigs, goats, learned how to make apple cider and about different kinds of pumpkins, ran through the pumpkin patch, went on a hayride and had a snack. Such a fun morning!

Fall fun

I am loving this beautiful fall weather. Everyday has been in the mid to upper 60s or low 70s and sunny. With all of the leaves changing it makes for beautiful scenery and pictures. Today we went to another pumpkin patch. I just can't get enough of them with this beautiful weather! We went to Baggensto's which has a fun little playground area, a hayride, a small hay maze, a goat & chicken. Definitely not the best pumpkin patch, but we still had lots of fun. Bonus, Janet Pama came with us!

He wouldn't crack a smile but he still loved the hayride.

Another pumpkin patch tomorrow for Andrew's school field trip!

Pumpkin Party

On Saturday we headed to another pumpkin patch for Andrew's friend Harrison's birthday party. It was a beautiful fall day and a really fun pumpkin patch. It was a distance, about 40min, but we still had tons of fun. They had a small pond that you could take a boat ride on, a train ride, a real pumpkin patch (not just pumpkins on the ground), a pony ride (which we didn't do), and lots of farm animals. Andrew had tons of fun running around with his friend Parker. The highlight for him was definitely the train ride. He loved it!
