Ava's 3rd Birthday Party

We had a Minnie Bowtique party full of lots of bows, polka dots and pink!  The inspiration for her party was her outfit that I found at Target back in February (I think).  This is the first party that I made almost everything by myself.  I made the invitations, banners, table skirt (they were aprons that I attached together), paper bows...I think almost everything except the cake.  I think this was one of my favorite parties to decorate for, probably because of all the pink!
The dessert table had minnie mouse strawberry cupcakes, chocolate cake and bow cookies.
This was the first time I've ever made cookies like this and they were pretty complicated.  I'm not sure if I'll do them again.  I do love how the cupcakes turned out though and the cake was just what I envisioned!
The food included: deli sandwiches, mickey pb & j, bow(tie) pasta, fruit, & chips.
I love this picture of Ava & Minnie taken back in December.  She loves Minnie!
All of Ava's friends went home with some Minnie stickers, cute bow sunglasses, some Minnie crayons, a Minnie ring and a Minnie polka dot bow.

As the guests started to arrive Ava got really shy.  She went up to her room and said she was tired.
She finally decided to come and greet her friends.
Giving her friend Charleigh a hug.
 Posing for Mommy.
 Love my girl!
Unfortunately it was a cold and rainy day so we had to improvise and have everyone inside.  12 kids plus adults in my house...it was a bit crazy!
For our game we decorated bows with stickers and then played pin the bow on Minnie.
 Ava & her friend Emmery.
She was a bit shy when we all sang to her.
And then she stood back with everyone and started singing.
Opening her new doll house from Papa & Pama.
After most of the guests left I found these 4 having fun together in the playroom.
Auntie Kayla & Leyton came to the party and Ava was so happy they were there!
Not many pictures of Andrew at the party since he was busy running around with his buddy Carter.
After the party she wanted to a little more bow decorating.
Not a great family picture, but the only one we got.
Then all of the sugar kicked in and the kids started dancing.
A super fun day celebrating a really fun birthday girl!
