We had such a fun family weekend! We headed to Springfield on Saturday morning to spend the weekend with my sister and her family. As soon as we got into town we went to see my grandparents. The kids brought there toys in and both of them spent the whole time telling them about each of their toys. It was the cutest.
Multiple times Ava went over to my grandpa and sat on his lap for some cuddles. My kids really love their great grandparents!
Ava just adores my grandma too.
We spent about an hour with them and then met up with my sister, brother in law and Leyton for lunch before the girls went down for naps. While the girls slept, the boys hung out and my sis and I got to spend some time together. We did a little antique shopping and went to this cute coffee shop. It was such a nice afternoon with my sister!
We went to this really cute store and found this sign that I think we both wish we could have for our house.
That night the boys (Andrew, Daddy, Papa & Uncle Cory) headed to the Duck basketball game. The boys had a blast at the game...especially Andrew.
While the boys were gone, I got to hang out with some of my favorite girls!
These girls really love playing together.
After some play time at home we had dinner just us girls and did a little bit of shopping before heading home for bedtime.
The kids shared a room with us and got to sleep in their sleeping bags. I think they were pretty excited about it and had a hard time falling asleep. By 9pm we thought that it was safe for us to sneak out with Cory & Kayla for some dessert while my parents hung out. We had a great time at the cute little restaurant, but right after we ordered dessert I got a text saying that Ava was crying and wouldn't calm down. I know how she can be so we quickly ate dessert and raced home. She had calmed down but was wanting her mommy. I put them back to bed and when I came back to the room to go to bed, I found them all cuddled up. So cute.
Ava woke up bright and early at 6:30 this morning. She normally doesn't wake till 8ish.
The kids had some morning cuddles with their cousin and aunt & uncle.
We headed to breakfast at this cute coffee house downtown Springfield with the whole family.
Andrew was mad because they didn't have pancakes. Nate, being the best daddy ever, went and got him pancakes from a little place down the street and he was much happier.
The kids ran around downtown and got their wiggles out before we made the trek home.
6.23 & 24.2013- Andrew 5 1/2 years, Ava 2 1/2 years, Leyton 15 months
