Advent

We counted down the days leading to Christmas with a fun activity each day.  The kids loved going to see what was in the envelope for the day.  Sometimes we repeated the activity, but the kids still loved all of the Christmas fun!

 Day 1- go pick out a Christmas tree.  We had only about an hour to do this so we just went to a lot and picked out a tree.  It was easy and we found one right away.  Hoping to go to a tree farm next year :) We decorated our tree the following day....

Day 2- popcorn and Charlie Brown Christmas...this was probably the kids very favorite Christmas movie.

 

Day 3- Go get a Christmas treat and pick out a new Christmas book at the bookstore.  My kids love bookstores!

 

Day 4- baking Christmas treats

Day 5- Go look at Christmas lights and have cookies at Papa & Pama's

Day 6- make Christmas cupcakes

Day 7- A date with Mommy!  Christmas cookies at Starbucks and Christmas shopping.

Day 8- new Christmas book

Day 9- make fingerprint candy cane cards for Andrew's teachers

Day 10- Zoo lights!

 Day 11- hot cocoa and Frosty the Snowman movie

Day 12- write letters to Santa

Day 13- visit Santa

 Day 14- Abby's pizza and Newberg lights

Day 15- build a gingerbread house with Buddy Papa & Twyla Pama

 

Day 16- make snowflakes

 Day 17- Christmas ships and dinner at Spaghetti Factory

 

 Day 18- cupcakes and a Christmas movie

 Day 19- Christmas lights

 Day 20- make and frost sugar cookies

Day 21- Go to the movie Wreck it Ralph with Daddy

 Day 22- PIR lights

 Day 23- make Christmas ornaments for Papas & Pamas

Day 24- open 1 Christmas (pj's) and read a few Christmas stories
