On Ava's birthday it was in the high 80s....I think 88 degrees actually which was a record breaking temperature. Anyway, since it was so nice we headed to the zoo for the morning with my parents. It was our first trip to the zoo this year and the kids had a blast! Lots of the animals were out and the kids loved seeing all of them. Such a fun morning with my kids!

That night we went to California Pizza Kitchen for dinner and sat outside. My parents came along too. (Nate's parents were back in Palm Springs.) After dinner we went back to our house for some cupcakes and presents. Andrew opened all of Ava's presents while she just watched. She really didn't mind watching him open her gifts. It was very cute.
