Labor day weekend

We had a fun labor day weekend.  We started off by heading to the farmer's market on Saturday morning where we had some pastries at my favorite bakery, Saint Honore.
Ava loves wearing big girl headbands and wanted to make a funny face for the camera.
The kids rode around in the wagon which they thought was lots of fun.
Later that afternoon my sister and I went to Quailhurt for a fun wine and cheese party.  The location is beautiful and we enjoyed a fun afternoon together.
That evening we babysat Leyton while my sister and parents went to a wedding.  Some of our friends came over for dinner too so it was a house full of kids!  Leyton was really tired so she had a rough night at our house, but it was still fun to get to spend time with her.
Ava wanted to share her jewelry with Leyton and Leyton just wanted to put everything in her mouth.
On Monday we wanted to do something a little different.  So we headed downtown to Powell's bookstore.  The kids were so excited to go to the biggest bookstore.  Andrew picked out tons of Batman & Ninja Turtle books while Ava picked out Dora and Curious George.
We spent lots of time reading books....it was so cute.
After the bookstore we asked the kids if they wanted to do something really fun... if they wanted to get ice cream for lunch.  Of course they said yes and they were so excited.
 Yum!
When I asked Ava if she liked having ice cream for lunch, she did this...she's such a funny girl!
Later we asked Andrew what the favorite part of his day was and of course he said ice cream for lunch.

That evening we headed over to my sister in laws house for a big family BBQ.  It took the kids a little bit to warm up but once they did they had a great time playing with their cousins.
They spent most of their time playing in these rocks.
Andrew and Brody became fast little friends.
Such a fun family weekend!
